A New Approach for the Green Biosynthesis of Silver Oxide Nanoparticles Ag2O, Characterization and Catalytic Application

In this paper, a facile and green approach for the synthesis of silver oxide nanoparticles Ag2O NPs was performed using extract wild plant Herniaria hirsuta (H. hirsuta). Different spectral methods were used characterization biosynthesized NPs, ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy gave surface plasmon resonance (SPR) peak is 430 nm, estimation direct indirect forbidden gap bands are respectively 3.76 eV 3.68 eV; Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis revealed groups responsible stability NPs. The morphology studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showing nearly spherical shape X-ray diffraction (XRD) study confirmed crystallinity with size 15.51 nm. catalytic activity as well rings number degradation methylene blue dye. Mussel-inspired green synthesis of silver nanoparticles on graphene oxide nanosheets for enhanced catalytic applications.
We report a facile green approach to the synthesis of silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) on the surface of graphene oxide nanosheets functionalized with mussel-inspired dopamine (GO-Dopa) without additional reductants or stabilizers at room temperature. The resulting hybrid Ag/GO-Dopa exhibits good dispersity and excellent catalytic activity in the reduction of nitroarenes.
